20 University Avenue East is a 25-storey mixed-use development nestled in the heart of Waterloo's vibrant core, drawing inspiration from the magnificence of Niagara Falls. The structured parking podium echoes the falls' rocky base, while the façade's glazing reflects the fluidity of cascading waters. Tapered balconies evoke the mist's turbulence, and vertical panels atop the tower pay homage to the falls' grandeur.

881 WEBER ST.
The concept is inspired by the geometric ordering of planting on farmlands, specifically how this geometric spacing creates striations in the landscape; these can be seen prominently from aerial views. The structural system is a simple clear span structure that lends itself to modular design elements like trees planted in an ordered orchard. These modular elements piece together to create a pleasing ordered appearance that also emphasizes the notion of agricultural striations.
